Joseph Ossey is a Client Relationship Coordinator with over 14 years of experience in both qualified plan sales and relationship management. He joined Wintrust’s Retirement Benefits Advisors group in 2022 to help business owners and plan sponsors to be more cost-effective and compliant, while helping reduce the administrative burden that comes with managing a plan and satisfying fiduciary obligations. The group provides a wide range of services including plan design, investment selection, 3(21) fiduciary support, policy and procedure support, service provider selection, performance reporting, and ongoing employee education. Joey has tremendous passion and enthusiasm for assisting both employers and employees with their retirement plans. 

Prior to joining the firm, Joey joined Ascensus in 2018 and was instrumental in the initial rollout and ongoing administration of the newly mandated Illinois Secure Choice retirement savings program. He was also a Relationship Manager and Participant Education Specialist for two large national recordkeepers, working directly with Financial Advisors, Plan Sponsors, and Plan Participants. 

Joey graduated from the Northern Illinois University’s Barsema College of Business with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He holds both FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations and is a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist^SM .

Joey currently resides in Downers Grove, IL with his two dogs, Colombo and Killian. He is an avid golfer, former studio/touring drummer, and currently plays in a 90’s rock cover band.
